Year 5 Trip to the British Museum

Dear Parent/Carer,

Next Monday, the pupils in Year 5 will be visiting The British Museum as part of our Ancient Benin Kingdom topic.  We will be going on Monday 26th June.  Children should come to school for 8:30am and we will be returning to school at around 4pm depending on public transport. A text will be sent out if we are running late.

On this day, pupils will need the following:

  • To be dressed in school uniform. Sun hats and previously applied sun screen is encouraged.
  • To bring a disposable packed lunch in a clearly named ruck sack (not a Thomas Becket school bag please).

The cost of this trip is £2.00 which covers the cost of the workshop we will be taking part in whilst at the Museum.

Please pay your contribution into ParentPay by Monday 26th June – all contributions would be greatly accepted and will allow us to continue booking these wonderful trips!

We will be visiting the Gift Shop on our visit, providing it is not too busy.   If you would like to give your child spending money (and this is entirely optional), the maximum they can bring is £10 in a named purse.  They will be responsible for their own money whilst in the shop. Those without money will still be free to browse with their friends and group leader.

We will require parent helpers to make this important trip possible. If you are able to attend, please let your class teacher know. Alternatively, please let the office know.

Kind regards,

Mr Slater and Mr Ocansey
