Application for a Reception place in September 2025

To complete your application fully, you should bring the following original documents to the school office.

We are unable to accept applications by email.

• Supplementary information form (SIF)
• Priest reference (within 6 months or a reference from your previous Parish Priest)
• Child’s baptism certificate (original)
• Child’s birth Certificate (original)
• Baptism certificate of either parent (original or proof from parish)
• 2 x proof of address (e.g. utility bill/bank statement less than 3 months old) or water rates/council tax bill for the current year.

ALL DOCUMENTS LISTED MUST BE PROVIDED IN ORDER FOR THE GOVERNING BODY TO CATEGORISE YOUR APPLICATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE OVERSUBSCRIPTION CRITERIA.

The deadline for returning completed supplementary forms to the school is 15th January 2025.

Please note, any applications received after this date will be treated as a late application in accordance with the school’s admission policy.

You will also need to complete an LEA Common Application Form (CAF). The final closing date for receipt of application is 15th January 2025. Please visit www.croydon.gov.uk/admissions.

Priest's Reference

Each family that applies for a place for their child at St Thomas Becket is asked to provide a reference from their Parish Priest.

Your Priest may wish to use the attached reference form, or alternatively they may prefer to write their own reference. If this is the case, the reference needs to include confirmation of your child and family’s attendance at Mass as:

• Every Week, at least once a month or less than once a month.

Clarification of level of attendance at Mass will enable the Governors to ensure application of the school’s admission criteria.

Your reference must be dated within the last 6 months from your Parish Priest or Minister at the time of application.
