Year 3 enjoyed glorious weather when they took part in the Good Shepherd Liturgy at Aylesford.
They joined hundreds of children from the Southwark diocese in celebrating our faith. There was lots of singing, liturgical dancing to watch and thoughtful readings to reflect upon. A lovely homily was given by Bishop Pat. Children processed with their school banners and prayer poles which made a magnificent sight.
Each school was asked to prepare prayers on the theme of peace. During the procession these prayer poles were exchanged with other schools. The beautiful prayers our children wrote are now in the happy possession of St. Peter and Paul School, Orpington.
The children then enjoyed their lunch and playing games together before returning home exhausted after a thoroughly enjoyable day.
