The countdown is on and preparations are well underway. Please help us to promote our school Winter Fair by proudly displaying your flyer in your home or car window.

Tombola/Jingly Jar Donation Day – Friday 17th November (before school)

We will be collecting in both the infant & junior playgrounds before school for the Tombola & Jingly Jars.

Children’s & Adult Tombola prizes should be new/very good condition so they are suitable as raffle prizes (jewellery, toiletries, toys, puzzles, crafts, stationary and games etc.)

Jingly Jars – glass jars filled with items such as small toys, trinkets, hairbands etc. or goodies donated separately and clean empty jars (with lids) which can be made up on preparation evening.

Fair Preparation Evening – Friday 17th November from 7.30pm

Come and help wrap prizes for the Tombola, prepare & decorate Jingly Jars, and help fill Candy Cones. Bring drinks & nibbles if you wish. Even if your class has nothing to prepare we still need as much help as we can on preparation night and we are asking everyone available to pitch in.

Grand Draw Tickets

Thank you for selling Grand Draw tickets. We encourage you to sell as many as you can to family & friends. Additional books are available from the school office or via the return slip. Don’t forget to write down your child’s name on the return slip/envelope so we can credit their effort to the Ticket Selling Competition. The children of the class that sells the most tickets will win a prize!

Stall Rotas:

By now your class representatives will have informed you of your stall allocation and are collecting names to schedule a rota on the day of the fair. Please get in touch with them if you have not done so already.

Appeal for Volunteers

As always, we are appealing for as much support as possible in the days and weeks leading up to the Fair, and over the weekend of the Fair, so please do get in touch if you can help.

There are some stalls, not allocated to classes for which we need additional help. If you are available to help with queue management for the Circus skills workshops or to man the Entrance for an hour please contact Angela on 07903338890.

Fair Coordinators:

We desperately need more fair coordinators to assist in running this fair and future fairs so if you wish to try your hand at this please get in touch with either Angela on 07903338890 or Candice on 07734440631.

Matched Funding

The St. Thomas Becket School Association is a registered charity. Some of you may work for companies which offer matched funding (or matched giving), whereby they will pledge a sum of money relating to the amount their employee has raised through volunteering. This is a really easy way of boosting fund-raising efforts and worth exploring to see if it is something that your company offers.
