Reception and Key Stage 1 Sports Day
Monday 27th June 2022
1.30—3.00 p.m.
Dear Parents/ Carers,
Sports Day will take place on June 27th from 1.30 p.m. on the school field. All children in
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will participate in a variety of activities.
We would like to invite you to come along and encourage your children as they join in the fun!
In order to ensure the event runs smoothly, we would like your co-operation with some
organisational matters.
- All children must wear their P.E. kits, so please ensure they have them in school on the day, including shorts.
- Whilst we are very happy for you to give your child as much encouragement as possible, please do not distract them from what they are doing. In particular, do not call them over to you or take them out of their line when moving from one activity to another. We need to keep our classes together as a matter of safety.
- If the weather is very hot, you are welcome to send in a small bottle of water for your child to take around the activities, clearly marked with their name. Children must be
responsible for their own water bottle.
- Sun hats and sun cream are also advised.
- Please do not lose track of your toddlers.
The children will be taken back to their classrooms at the end of the day and can be
collected as usual at 3.10 p.m. – you will not be permitted to take them from the field at the end of the activities.
In the event of torrential rain or blistering heat the sports day will not go ahead as planned.
